Today I finished Fetching, done in the Malabrigo I got on my trip. They were such a pleasure to knit. Out of 2 hanks I will get 1 set of
Fetching, 1Irish Hiking Scarf and 1 Nakiska. That made me *happy*. The scarf is about 1/3 complete. Pics will be up as soon as I am able.

Wow. I can not believe its been a month since I've posted! How time flies!
Vacation was great. I went to Ohio to celebrate my friend Dawn's wedding. The wedding was beautiful, her daughters were adorable, and Dawn was gorgeous.
Dawn and I got to escape on our own for the first time in 13 years. She graciously went to Lambikins Hideaway with me.
Have I mentioned yet how wonderfully patient Dawn is?
Thank God I had a game plan when I went into that store. The first thing I saw as I walked in? Ohhh the lovely wall of Malabrigo! I picked up the Emerald Blue I have been drooling over for months-2 hanks. I still did not have a plan as to what they were going to become, but I had a strict budget and 2 was the limit. Then while I wasn't looking Dawn surprised me by purchasing the Malabrigo for me. Such a wonderful friend... and did I mention patient?
That freed my budget up a little so I chose some lovely Misti Alpaca Lace and then I found the clearance section where there was lots of yarn at 35%-50% off. I really had to restrain myself, but came away with one hank of Classic elite Premiere, and one of Cascade 220.
I also fell in love with some Katia Denim. Apparently the more this yarn is washed the softer it becomes (due to the linen content, I suppose). The color also fades in the way of stone washed jeans. *drool* At this point I was a bit worried about finances for the trip home so I figured that I could get the lovely Katja at my LYS back home and reluctantly moved on.
After 2 hours of perusing yarn, accompanied by the amazingly patient Dawn, we then went to the 7 Sisters Bookstore. That was a pretty cool shop. I surprised Dawn by secretly purchasing the chime she had been admiring. As well as some glycerine soap that smelled divine.
On the way back to the house we stopped at White Castle. I just had to try a White Castle Burger, since we don't have White Castle at home. How people eat those foul little things is beyond me. Ugh, horrible!. But the chicken rings... *drool* Those were so good! I just wonder though...what do they do with the round parts cut out of the middle? And would they be called chicken balls?
